Drawing upon the author's own classroom experience and upon the latest research into the ways in which children learn, this study of mathematics training at secondary school level gives practical advice for teaching and learning mathematics, with particular emphasis on National Curriculum requirements. It also discusses issues of classroom management and approaches to teaching mathematics within the wider curriculum requirements. Individual chapters tackle the various social aspects of mathematics.
