Growing Artists will prepare pre-service teachers to teach art to children ranging from one and a half through eight years old. Each chapter focuses on a particular topic in art education, including current theory and research, the role of the teacher, how children develop artistically, creating an aesthetic environment, and integrating art into the curriculum. Children will be introduced to a wide variety of art media including drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, murals, puppets, masks, blocks, paper mache, molding materials, and fiber art.
