Editors Farrelly and Weddell present readers with a collection of academic and professional perspectives providing a comprehensive examination of the place for contemporary design objects within the context of various museums and other collections. The editors have organized the seventeen contributions that make the main body of the text in three parts devoted to the canon and design in the museum, positioning design within and beyond the museum, and interpretation and the challenge of design. Liz Farrelly is a faculty member of the University of Brighton in the UK.
