東台灣歷史再現中的族群與異己——以胡傳之《台東州采訪冊》的 原住民書寫為例Historical Representation and the Ethnic Other--Writing about Aborigines in the Taiwanese Gazette本研究係從「後殖民」的角度與觀點，分析台灣漢人之歷史書寫中，「原住民如何被再現？」之問題，其中更引東台灣以及胡傳的文獻為例。從現今漢人遺留的志書與其他書寫中，以「妖魔化」、「番俗再現」、「番語再現」及「開發論述」等等議題為主要討論之面向，希冀能夠梳理出漢人再現原住民過程中，其所運用的論述形式、修辭與再現機制，並 將這些機制放在殖民統治的脈絡下來理解與批判。Adopting the “postcolonialist” perspectives, the study approaches the texts about Taiwanese indigenous peoples in Chinese historical writings during the Qing dynasty, focusing on Hu Chuan and his Gazette of Taitung. The structure of the study is composed of four parts, including “demonization”, “ representation of customary practices”, “representation of language” and “ discourse of development”, which are understood and criticized as the representational institution, discursive formation as well as rhetorical practices under the context of Han Chinese colonization of the island.
