|aThis study aims to identify the most in-demand employability skills sought by employers through a comprehensive systematic literature review and analysis of job postings. Additionally, this study intends to investigate the characterization and persistence of employability skills regarding job levels and education attainment levels. The literature review involved a search for articles on Google Scholar between 2018 and 2023, with 87 articles selected for analysis based on PRISMA guidelines. The text analysis identified problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, decision-making, time and self-management, leadership, analytical, planning and organizing, teamwork, and technical skills as the most highly valued employability skillsThe analysis of job postings revealed variations in the employability skills required for different job levels, suggesting the potential for customized ES development plans based on individuals' current job levels. This information can be utilized to inform the creation and implementation of vocational courses and career counseling services, as well as the modification of resumes and cover letters to highlight relevant competencies.Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the most in-demand employability skills and the potential for customized ES development plans based on job level. These findings are relevant to educators, career counselors, and policymakers invested in enhancing employability skills and improving labor market outcomes for job seekers.
